The 1940 US Census will go public on Monday, April 2nd at 8 a.m. (our time).
For the web video of the release, set your clock for 7:30 a.m. same morning and go to 1940census.archives.gov. You will be able to start researching from that site.

Join Ruby Coleman, professional genealogist with 45 years experience, on a week long tour to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, UT.
Tour Dates: Sunday, 14 October 2012 – Sunday, 21 October 2012
Limitations: Minimum of 15 people for tour; Maximum of 20 people for tour. Cancellations must be made before 15 September 2012 to receive a 50% or $50 fee return. Cancellations after 15 September 2012 forfeit all consultation fees.
Consultation Services: $150. Booking on the tour postmarked by 1 August 2012 or tour is full (whichever comes first) receives a $50 coupon on consultation services.
Specifics: Transportation and housing arrangements must be made by the participant. Group rates available at the Plaza Hotel. Tour participants bear all costs of expenses. Booking with the tour provides access to a professional genealogist for consultation services at a discounted rate of $100. Consultation services available throughout the week.

We will have a short meeting to make decisions about the cemetery directory and the food we will have for the canteen at the cemetery tour during the Railfest.

Family History Expos is the flag-ship of genealogy events, with events being held all around the U.S. and we are excited to have Holly available to share some of her research expertise at the North Platte Expo as well as your opportunity to attend the Expo where you can learn the tech to trace your roots!
